About Us
The mission of Children's Lighthouse is to provide holistic support and care for orphans and single mothers in Gambia, Sierra Leone, and Morocco. Our commitment is deeply rooted in the belief that every child deserves a nurturing environment and the opportunity to build a bright future.
Founded in 2010, Children's Lighthouse has grown from a small initiative to an international organization making a significant impact in the lives of thousands of children and families. Our team of dedicated professionals and volunteers works tirelessly to ensure that every child under our care receives the support they need to thrive.

Basic Needs
Ensuring access to essential needs such as food, clothing, medical care and shelter for orphaned children and single mothers facing difficult circumstances.
Our nutrition programs provide over 500,000 meals annually, while our healthcare initiatives offer regular check-ups and medical treatment to those who would otherwise go without.
Education for Empowerment
Facilitate educational opportunities for orphans, empowering them with knowledge and skills to break the cycle of poverty. We believe education is a powerful tool for transformation.
Our scholarship program has helped over 2,000 children attend school, with 85% continuing to higher education or vocational training.
Infrastructure Development
Build and sustain schools and shelters to create safe and conducive spaces for learning, growth, and community support.
We've constructed 94 schools and 12 community centers across our target regions, providing safe spaces for education and community gatherings.
Community Building
Foster a sense of community among orphans and single mothers, creating a network of support and encouragement to help them overcome challenges and build resilient futures.
Our community support groups now include over 5,000 members who provide mutual aid, emotional support, and practical assistance to one another.
Empowerment of Single Mothers
Provide resources, training, and support for single mothers to enhance their skills, independence, and ability to provide a stable and nurturing environment for their children.
Our vocational training programs have helped over 750 single mothers develop marketable skills, with 68% now running their own small businesses.

Active in 24 communities across the country, serving over 5,000 children and 800 single mothers.
Sierra Leone
Working with local communities to rebuild after civil war and health crises, focusing on education, healthcare, and creating opportunities for single mothers.
Operating in 18 communities with 42 schools and 6 healthcare centers, reaching over 3,500 children.
Morocco
Supporting vulnerable children and single mothers through educational programs, healthcare initiatives, and community development projects.
Our newest region of operation with 12 community centers and 28 schools, serving over 1,500 children.
